FOTOFEST 2020: AFRICAN COSMOLOGIES
Visual identity, exhibition materials, and book

African Cosmologies examines the complex relationships between contemporary life in Africa, the African diaspora, and global histories of colonialism, photography, and rights and representation. The design reflects the concept of “cosmological exploration”—one that defies easy categorization and investigates notions of Africanness beyond traditional geographic and historical lines.

The book was shortlisted for the Paris Photo–Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards.
